Where to eat in Pachuca

There is plenty of restaurants in Pachuca. Below is included a short list of recommendations. Please note that the main meal in Mexico (“la comida”) is due from around 2pm to 4:00 pm. Some of the places in the list below do not open for late dinner. At night, an option would be to go for some tacos, tlacoyos, chalupas or some other Mexican antojitos (that’s the word for the very typical – and ancestral – Mexican version of fast food).

Specialties include barbacoa de hoyo (sheep, slowly cooked in holes dug in the ground), mixiote (meat wraped inside a piece of maguey skin), chinicuiles (maguey worms) and escamoles (ant eggs). Closes at 7pm.
